Sunny Ormond Beach SOB Condo, Pool, No Drive Beach

Worst vacation!!! Woken up every morning 7:30am with construction noise. Balcony barred shut. Positive: The apartment is conveniently located right on the beach and across the street from Publix and other stores. Many restaurants are nearby. Negative: BEWARE FALSE ADVERTISING!!! We booked this condo for 8 days and had a very disappointing stay. There was construction going on. It was not listed on the ad and we were never told. They started making noise at 7:30am 7 days a week, and were working on our balcony and bedroom window every morning. Balcony was unusable most of the week which was very disappointing to me since my favorite thing to do on vacation is read a book on the balcony while listening to the sound of the ocean. The pool area was noisy with the boom lift in use 7 days a week. The smell of paint could not be avoided all day Thursday. Salty Dog Vacations, the property manager, and the owners were unwilling to compensate us appropriately for our inconvenience due to false advertising. They claimed it was stated on the Salty Dog listing but acknowledged it did not transfer to the Booking.com ad. They said they would follow up with their IT, but offered no compensation other than $187 given to me once I signed a non-disparaging agreement stating I would not leave a bad review. If I did, they would sue me for $10k. I didn't take it and will tell everyone BUYER BEWARE!!! Booking.com reviewed the case and has provided me with the compensation the GREEDY owners would not provide. I would have rented elsewhere if I had been informed about ongoing construction.

Great place, beautiful view and very convenient! Publix right across the street and plenty of great restaurants in the area. Very well equipped kitchen.

We stayed at this beautiful condo with 2 of our chikdren over spring break. Everything was very easy to fund, check in and get situated. The view from the condo balcony was stunning. Pool area was very well kept and nice to have and beach access was so close and convenient. There were chairs and beach toys and boogie boards, ect. right there in the ynit for guest use and that was very nice. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!

Wonderful apartment for a a family beach vacation. Positive: The apartment is perfectly equipped for a longer family vacation. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking, baking, etc with loads of dishes and cutlery, pots, pans. toaster, blender … Very spacious and well furnished apartment. Host service reacted very quickly and professionally to all of our enquiries, made a few very minor repairs immediately on request (replaced lightbulbs and batteries in a remote). Hope to come back again soon. Negative: It was unclear that the washing machine is not in the apartment but in a central laundry room for the complex. Machines are large and clear but the first 3-4 days the app you need to pay for the machines did not work - machines were offline.
